The Laureate Head George IV Sovereign.
The 1821 Sovereign carries the laureate first portrait of the former Prince Regent on the obverse, with Benedetto Pistrucci's classic St George engraving on the reverse.
It is the first George IV Sovereign, as his father's image remained on coins throughout the year of George's coronation.
