Numismatists are nothing if not history buffs, so here is a gold sovereign that is a good coin to add to any collection as a talking point.

The 1932 gold sovereign was the last sovereign ever issued as circulating currency by the Pretoria Mint in South Africa- after this, the coin was retired, and returned some Twenty-Five years later as a bullion coin.

The initials of the mint SA are visible in the ground line on the Reverse side of the coin depicting Saint George and The Dragon.
